Join a community of changemakers uplifting the lives of Black & Brown youth and families in Bayview–Hunters Point through the power of the arts, culture, and heritage.
Your tax-deductible donation to the Ruth Williams Opera House helps us do more than offer performances—it sustains a living legacy. You’re supporting a Black-led cultural institution committed to:
With your help, we’re expanding our reach to create a stage for everyone: Latinx, Indigenous, and AAPI communities, using culture as a vehicle for justice, healing, and belonging.
The RWOH stage isn’t just for history. It comes alive throughout the year with a diverse range of cultural events. Every year, we host over 50 events, welcome 6,200 audience members, issue over $200,000 in artist grants, and provide over 1,500 hours of OTJ-training for event production.
Together, we are building a Bayview where creativity is not just celebrated—but protected, passed on, and used to power real change.

Legacy Giving
Simply put, “planned giving” is the transfer of assets to a designated nonprofit organization during a lifetime or as part of an estate plan. Transferring assets is easy and it can provide tax benefits as well.
