Apply for Fiscal Sponsorship with Us!
Are you an emerging creative, grassroots collective, or cultural producer working to uplift your community through the arts? The Ruth Williams Bayview Opera House welcomes applications for fiscal sponsorship from individuals and groups whose projects are rooted in arts, culture, and social impact.
Our fiscal sponsorship program is designed to support artists of color—particularly Black, Indigenous, and other marginalized voices—who are creating work that serves community healing, historical preservation, civic engagement, or youth development.
Whether you’re hosting a cultural event, producing a visual project, curating public art, or leading community workshops, we invite you to grow your project with support from one of San Francisco’s longest-standing Black cultural institutions.
What is Fiscal Sponsorship?Fiscal sponsorship is a formal arrangement in which a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization extends its legal and tax-exempt status to a project that aligns with its mission. This allows independent artists and small collectives to seek grant funding and accept tax-deductible donations—without needing to form a nonprofit themselves.
At BVOH, we provide:
We charge a flat 10% – 15% administrative fee on all funds raised.
