This Samoan proverb underlines the importance of women to our families and out culture – we are the trunk of the family, and when we are well the whole village thrives.
This group is a space for for us to gather, learn and grow in the shelter of culture and care.
We envision MALU as a place to
• Reclaim our understanding of Tapu as Sacred rather than off-limits;
• Remember how to ask questions and learn about our bodies with respect & reverence for our traditions;
• Receive the information we need to stay healthy, ask better questions and build self/family advocacy skills.

Each month we will have two sessions – first one discussion-based with a focus on health education, the second activity-based and following up on the conversation from session 1.
MALU will meet on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:30pm at TheHUB in Sunnydale in SF with dinner served at 5 so bring your sis and the kids to fill your cup while we take dinner off your plate!
