Join us on Wednesday, August 5 from 6:00–8:00 PM for an evening celebrating artists, creativity, and community at the Ruth Williams Bayview Opera House.
Whether you’re planning to apply for Art Is Resistance: Preserving the Past, Creating the Future, are simply curious about the program, or just want to connect with fellow creatives, this reception is for you. Meet Bayview Opera House staff, learn more about how The Ruth supports artists through funding, mentorship, professional development, and presentation opportunities, and ask questions about the application process. Applicants are highly encouraged to attend, but all artists and community members are welcome whether or not you ultimately apply.
The evening also offers a chance to experience our current gallery exhibition and meet exhibiting artists Kayl Johnson and Vango (Marc Bates), who will be joining us for the reception and facilitating art workshops.
Selected artists for the program will be notified between August 17–31.
Become a Supported Artist at The Ruth. We hope to see you on August 5.
